Midnight Massacre Returns!
It’s 2004 all over again.
Midnight Massacre is back.
For those of you not in the know, MM was our most popular bi-monthly event from 99-04. We would game all night, playing all of our favorite shooters and strategy games, crazy mods, and even some super janky games for laughs. Come morning, and many Bawls later, you would find out who had the real staying power and who succumbed to 10lb eyelids and weak sauce. Those who survived the night could walk out into the sunlight with their heads held high, knowing that they were the embodiment of courage, dedication, and testicular fortitude.
For me, these events are probably my favorite memories of the Broad Ripple location. Maybe my favorite memories of NH ever.
So, with that said, here are the details of the reborn Midnight Massacre.
Gaming starts at midnight on Saturday night and ends at 8:30 AM Sunday morning.
The cost is $20.
The kitchen will be open all night, and we’ll have a special on energy drinks.
You must be 16 years of age or older to participate.
This is essentially a lock-in event. Once everyone has arrived, we will lock the doors from the outside. If you leave, you don’t get back in.
No sleeping at Net Heads. If you can’t make it all night, that’s ok, but you can’t sleep on our couch.

win free video games live tickets
Photos from this event can be found by clicking here.
The Video Games Live Concert (see video) is this Saturday at 7:30pm (doors open at 6:30pm). More information about VGL will be on WFYI/TV on Wednesday, August 4th at 8pm (and they’ll be talking about us, too).
The store will still be open but almost the entire Net Heads staff is going as a group and all told there will be 60 Net Heads related attendees!

And you remember the contest we’ve been running all summer, right? Over 700 PGR4 lap times. Whew…
Well, winners from each of the four events will now compete in a final head to head race on the main concourse at Conseco Fieldhouse this Saturday – just before the VGL performance! The final competition starts promptly at 7pm. Be there to cheer on your driver!!!
The overall winner of that night’s race is selected to perform on-stage with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra!! Stage fright anyone?
And the awesome folks at Pacers/Conseco/Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra/Video Games Live have given us tons of tickets for our customers to win this week. (Gotta love those guys.) So we’re running a series of in-store contests.
Here’s how you can win:
Monday – The Party Animal: Anyone booking and paying for a party for 8 or more between today and Wednesday at 5pm will be automatically entered in a drawing for four tickets for the family. Limit of two sets available. If these aren’t all used, the tickets will be added to other contests during the week.
Tuesday – The Addict: The person with the longest continuous sign-in time as of 8pm Tuesday night will automatically win two free tickets! If they aren’t collected, this prize will be moved to each successive night until they are.
Wednesday – Stick It to The Staff: 2v2 against the staff in Unreal Tournament 3 Instagib. The team of two that beats our best staff team by the widest margin (or comes closest) wins two tickets. In the event of a tie, the two teams play each other as tie breaker.
Thursday – The Wise-guy: Take any picture from our Facebook fan page photos and add a caption to it with your favorite photo editing program – you can do this any day. Email it to bill@netheads.com before Thursday at 5pm and the staff will judge which one is the best. Two tickets to Mr. or Ms. Funny. NOTE: Making fun of Bill’s vanishing hairline is not considered funny.
Friday – They Call Me Slick: If there are any tickets still available, we’ll race you for them. Paradise City: Last Man Standing. The last man standing wins two free tickets.
Progress on all this will be posted daily on our Facebook fan page.
NOTE: All winners must be members of our Facebook fan page to receive their tickets. It’s free and takes one click to get the sweet deals!!
Win a ticket and join us. If you don’t win, buy a ticket and join us – you can still get a $5 discount by using the “NETHEADS” promo code at Ticketmaster.
See you there!
facebook fan challenge
FACEBOOK FAN CHALLENGE – Right now we have 308 Facebook Fans on our page.
If we can get to 600 fans by August 15th (that’s two weeks from today) we’ll throw an EPIC LAN PARTY FOR FREE.

It’ll include every station in the store from 7pm to 2am on Saturday, August 21st. We’ll have free food and drinks, too. This is a pack the house night and it is going to rock.
For gamers 13 and younger and their parents, we’ll have a pre-party from 4pm to 7pm.
You can make this happen by posting to all your friends and tell them to be fans of Net Heads.
More friends makes for bigger parties and that means more LAN goodness at store events, including tournaments, leagues and weekend nights.
Go for it. Right now, right this minute, post to everyone you know and let the fun begin!
We can do this!!
business at the brickyard
We jumped in on the Indy Chamber’s Business at the Brickyard.
Lots of attendees stopped by to race against each other. We never saw women (Bradi, Shani and Patsy) having that much fun around a race car since Milka and Danica threw towels at each other trackside.

Check out the photos here.
symphony on the prairie
We attended Symphony in the Desert on the Prairie on July 16th and 17 and it was awesome. We met hundreds of people while promoting the Video Games Live concert coming up in August and handed out free waters, flyers, and coupons to multiple events.

The concert with Geore Takei was awesome. Photos can be found here.

We’ve teamed up with Conseco Fieldhouse, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, the Indiana Fever and Video Games Live to bring you an exciting contest with great prizes.

Here’s how it works:
- Net Heads appears at four events (listed below) with Project Gotham Racing 4 on plenty of Xbox360′s.
- Players compete, for free, by racing a Class B vehicle on Haute-Ville in Quebec.
- The fastest lap time for the event that day (or weekend) wins 4 tickets to the Video Games Live performance on August 7th.
- The four winners from the four events then compete in a race on the night of – and just before – the Video Games Live Performance in the main concourse at Conseco Fieldhouse.
- The winner of that head-to-head race will then compete in a Frogger competition – on stage with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra – during the concert!
Remember, there are 4 competitions to win tickets and gift certificates of which this is only the first one. Join us at:
- June 26th & 27th – Fishers Freedom Festival in Fishers (*already completed)
- July 4th and 5th – Carmel Fest in Carmel
- July 14th at 1:00pm – Indiana Fever at Conseco Fieldhouse
- July 16th and 17th – Symphony on the Prairie – Sci Fi
All of these races are open to the public, free and fun.
Show up, take your best shot and win a prize that might even make you civilized!
fishers freedom festival
NOTE: Photos from this event can be viewed by clicking here.
Net Heads appeared at the Fishers Freedom Festival, an Independence Day celebration that occurs before July 4th. With an attendance of over 50,000, this was a big event. Temperatures flared to over 95 degrees!
Competitions for PGR4 and our Racing to Go series were held, with PGR fastest lap winners receiving 4 tickets to the Video Games Live August 7th and Racing to Go fastest lap winners receiving a $100 gift certificate from L. Severson Portraits.
This is a completely awesome contest, with a winner going on stage with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra at Conseco Fieldhouse the night of the VGL concert! Full details about the contest can be found here:

mountain dew distortion team
NOTE: Photos from this event can be viewed by clicking here.
The Mountain Dew Distortion Team tore it up at Net Heads during the roll out of their Dewmocracy promotion. This event was loud, proud and completely crazy, no doubt a side effect of too much product. Over 100 gamers turned up, but alas, it wasn’t enough to put Distortion over the top in the big vote.
