Prices are so tilted in favor of members that it makes little sense not to be one.  In fact, you can often justify a membership with as little as a two hour visit at standard prices!!

Here are some Membership Frequently Ask Questions:

Q. What’s the benefit of being a member?

A. Members pay deeply discounted prices for station time and are offered promotions not available to non-members, including:

  • Free time on their birthday
  • Fixed price day passes
  • Good Grade programs
  • Holiday related promotions
  • Store game time, day passes and even Net Heads Dollars on the account

In the near future, members will be able to prepay for services and take advantage of even deeper discounting, allowing them to use their membership card as a credit card.

Q. The membership expires in a year, what happens then?

A. At the end of a year your membership will automatically renew at no additional charge so long as your account has been used in the 6 months prior.

Q. Can I share my membership with another person?

A. Sorry, memberships are for individuals – including members of the same family.

During membership registration your photo will be attached to your membership records and displayed each time you check in.

Q. What’s the age limit for membership?

A. Memberships are available for those 15 and older.  Junior memberships are available for ages 10-14.

Q. What’s the difference between regular and junior memberships?

A. At the present time, junior memberships are restricted to certain times of the day or days of the week.  Pricing and promotions are identical.

Q. Do I have to have my membership card with me to check in?

A. No, although it will make things faster and more secure for you.

Please note that the staff will always see your photo as you check in and you have to look like your photo. Photos are easily updated in the event you grow a beard or horns.  Smile!

Q. What happens if I lose my membership card?

A. Replacing a membership card is easy, but there is a fee to do so.

Let us know as soon as possible and we’ll suspend the card to help prevent its unauthorized use.  You can replace it the next time you stop in.

Q. Can I secure my card or account from anyone else using it?

A. Sure.

You can optionally assign a 4 digit numeric PIN that only you (not even our staff) will know and you will be prompted at each check in (and check  out), whether you have the card or not.

Q. Why do you need my actual date of birth?

A. It allows us to provide age and birthday related promotions as well as distinguish memberships from junior memberships.

Having accurate age information on hand helps keep the staff alert for younger customers in the store when they need special attention.

Q. My junior member doesn’t have an email.  What do we do?

A. Email is the primary way we stay in touch with our members so they can take full advantage of their membership.

If your junior member doesn’t have an email address or you don’t want to give theirs out, use your own.

Q. I am worried about my child’s information being available on the Internet.  What safety precautions have you taken regarding that?

A. Our database servers are located on the premises and have multiple firewalls between them and the Internet.

Net Heads’ owner and store manager are the only ones with passwords to the database server engine and the machine itself which are kept in a locket server closet.  We do all our own programming so there are no outside programmers who have access, either.  It is as safe as anyone can reasonably make it.

For the record, we never sell or share member or customer information.  Frankly, we don’t have the numbers for it to make any economic sense.  If we had enough members to make it worth selling email addresses, we wouldn’t need or have time to.  Spam and every source of it are a scourge on the Internet.

Q. Do I have to have a card to be a member?

A. Yes, a card must be registered to your membership at all times.

Q. What are Net Heads Dollars?

A. Net Heads Dollars are an easy way to store value on an account.

When you buy Net Heads Dollars, they spend just like cash but are not refundable (otherwise we’d call them cash).  Their primary benefits are convenience and securing and removing cash from the transaction.  Putting  NHDollars in your account allows you to save for a rainy day, budget your (or your child’s) expenditures and reduce the number of transactions in your credit card account.

We don’t store value on cards because they can get lost.  You can optionally assign a PIN to an account so that no one else can use stored minutes or NHDollars except the member.

From time to time we have promotions and members can take advantage of those promotions and store their purchases on their account for future use.
